April 6, 2024 - VINTAGE 2010 Dinner (Galletto Ristorante, Modesto Ca.): Well, this was the oddball dud in the tasting. Fruit was rich and sweet candied orange, brown butter sauteed peach, some nice floral spices...white flowers...but had a creamed corn and asparagus thing going on...and it was paired next to the 10 Marcassin Marcassin, and made it stand out like a sore thumb. Too many great wines on this night, and this was kicked to the curb.

February 21, 2024 - Drink up! Oxidative as F but still very drinkable. Nutty but there’s still a shadow of that youthful big tropical fruit. Fun wine at this point but it’s on the ragged edge

July 13, 2023 - Darkish color and a bit cloudy. Still alive with a bit of tropical fruit left and the finish has some complexity. Had this next to a similarly-aged Raveneau Premier Cru which was an unfair comparison but the PM was clearly showing a lack of freshness and vigor.

December 23, 2022 - Enjoyed from Magnum! Made the decision to pop this wine after wondering if it would be a little oxidized and tired....it was neither of the two. This was a rockstar on the table. Poured a semi-peculiar "highlighter yellow" color with a little bit of a greenish hue. Salty mineral dense yellow fruits, rounded mouthfeel with a hint of butterscotch and browned butter. Herbal character to the middle and finish. White pepper and mineral density, Asian pear and herbal notes dry on the tongue. Delicious and in a perfect spot from Magnum (not sure how this one would have fared from 750). Time to drink this one up and enjoy, especially if you have mags of this you will NOT be disappointed!

December 2, 2022 - Our penultimate bottle, pours a youthful straw yellow color. Evolving complex bouquet with orchard fruit, hazelnut, orange, citrus and basil. Terrific weight on the palate, rich but not heavy, with flavors of apple, tangerine and citrus- fresh, bright fruit- with a lingering finish. Absolutely delightful and a lovely match for tonight's sweetbreads.
