December 6, 2023 - So, is this ready? Qualified yes. Tannins and acidity are knitting, and fruit is not quite so overt, but to paraphrase Hardy Wallace, “how ripe do you like your banana?” This is still a bit blocky for my taste, but hovers on the bubble of ready to go. I’d like a bit more development, but the fruit is pure (dark cherry, wild raspberry, and plenty of earthy funk). And there’s some bottle bouquet just beginning to emerge. The medium weight palate still requires time to unfurl. Good wine here but potentially a VERY good wine here. Hold, given my proclivities.

October 21, 2023 - Slightly cloudy color and a fragrant bouquet. Mostly dark fruit, with some crunchy cranberry notes, earthy and full, but a bit stemmy and acidic. Probably has some time ahead of it, but may not go anywhere.
