April 4, 2021 - Pronounced nose with notes smokes, spices, red/black fruits. Medium+ acidity and tannin.

October 20, 2019 - Our first CdP of the “getting colder” season and it was a good one. This 2010 Lesec offering is in a good place now and benefitted from an hour in the decanter. We got nice raspberry fruit and subtle spicy notes too. Wine paired well with (lamb-based) Mediterranean bowls.

May 18, 2018 - Tasty and nuanced CdP. Lots of raspberry fruit, some spicy undertones, and Provençal market flavors. The wine really opened up after about an hour in the decanter. I suspect this 2010 has about five years of prime drinking window remaining.

October 28, 2017 - PnP thru Vinturi. Lots of red fruit, esp. dried cherries, on the nose. The wine evolved past an initial tartness as it took on bottle air, but it was still lacking in depth, surprising for a Patrick Lesec cuvee. I will probably do a 2-hr decant for the next one.

May 17, 2016 - At 6, this is already starting to drink well. The lush, rich textures, kirsch, raspberry liqueur, cracked black pepper and garrigue pop in the nose. The wine feels great on the palate, with its spicy, sweet, red berry finish.
