February 26, 2019 - Drinking great. Very consistent with my note last July. No signs of slowing down, and now that I'm down to my last bottle I wish I had more.

February 13, 2019 - No previous familiarity with this particular bottling, so I probably misjudged it as a pairing for a warm radicchio and char-roasted butternut salad with sherry & pecan vinaigrette since I was assuming it had a similar reductive but well-oaked new world chardonnay quality to it. Upon opening it did show such hints, and I figured they would bloom with a little air, but either more than a little air was required or the radicchio and vinaigrette pumped up the acid a bit too much because it was bordering on unpleasantly lean, tasting and smelling only of lemon Pez, blackboard chalk, and gardenia.
After dinner, though, wow was this ever singing. Well-oaked, sure, but age had completely integrated the wood without losing any of its flavor, leaving the perfect amount to support a deceptively full body and pull some peachy fruit and fresh cream out of its depths to complement the citrus, flowers, and clean mineral. Pity it was my only bottle, as I'd like to try this again treated more like Côte de Lechet or a more refined Pouilly-Fuissé than a new world chardonnay just playing dress-up as Burgundy. Certainly ready to drink, though, so if you have any, bust it open now. -

July 14, 2018 - Tropical and citrus notes across the nose - baked lemon, green papaya, almonds, salty stones. Drinks similarly with notes of bruised apple, lemon pulp, sea salt and short bread. This has aged really nicely, acid is still present and the wine has nice tension, it's fresh and lively but still in balance. Evening Land got this one right. It's drinking really well now, no sign of showing down either.
