September 18, 2022 - Opened two bottles because the first one was corked and was discarded. As for the second bottle, on the first night it was unpleasant. Had a harsh, green pepper or grass aspect to it. But 24 hours later I found the bottle in the living room, having been left opened, with nearly a glassful still remaining in it; and over the 24 hours, left out like that, it had improved a lot. Became a pleasant, mellow wine.

September 29, 2021 - Had 2 bottles over dinner with the LV crew last nite at a midtown Italian eatery (very good food, but I don't recall the name of the place on E.52).
Dark garnet color, no noticeable bricking. Pleasant nose of cherries and plums, with some violet and dust. There's still a good amount of red and black cherry fruit here, with leather and herbs. Pleasingly long and spicy finish. We popped n poured the first bottle, but decanted the 2nd--from which this wine def benefitted. Way WAY overpriced on this wine list, but very enjoyable BdM that still has some life ahead.

February 7, 2021 - Solid brunello but I was expecting a little more complexity or age or both. I think it might be a bit young. I thought the forward nature of 2007 might show more, ut think this is a bit closed. Next bottle 3 years. (if I remember to wait)

December 17, 2020 - Fabulous. Great structure on plalate and plenty of complexity on the nose. Red fruits showing plus aging aromas of leather, mushroom, cedar. Very long lovely finish. 18 points. (2 oz. sample)

November 3, 2020 - Italian wine swap session. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Tasted blind.
Corked. TCA wet newspaper. Sour fruit and caramel.
