July 12, 2021 - Deep purple. Round, smooth chocolate Overtones from round red fruit. Mediums long finish of spearmint.

October 20, 2016 - Medium (+) to deep ruby, unfiltered and therefore a little cloudy. The nose is clean, with baked black fruit, ripe sweet red cherry, plum and some earth. The nose is medium in intensity and developing (+). The palate is dry, but with plenty of sweet black and red fruit which then segues into a slightly bitter black olive, coffee and leather finish. The acidity is medium, the alcohol is medium (+) at 14.5% and the tannins are medium (+). The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. This wine has a medium (+) body, medium (+) flavor intensity and a medium (+) long finish. It is still drinking well now and has the potential for continuing to improve over the course of several years.

June 5, 2016 - At age 6 the wine is still delicious, in fact it seems to have improved. No funk on this one as there was on the bottle I opened in January of 14. Still with big, primal fragrances of crushed red and black berries and minerals, but now seems to have more complex flavors and a smoother mouth feel. Nice length and residual sweetness, great acid level and mild background tannins.

May 7, 2015 - more jammy than the 2005 Factor - this is still very enjoyable - blackberry and blueberry, sweet spice and solid acidity.

November 28, 2014 - Weekend Supper with Friends (TLV's): Popped and poured by VM after dinner. Dark color with notes of kirsch, mint, black fruit, licorice and pepper. Dense and firm, with flavors of black fruit, plum, pepper and spice. The oak is a little more obvious on the finish.
