Community Tasting Notes 4

August 22, 2021 - Drinking beautiful right now and no sign of going down in the near future.

May 27, 2011 - Bloody nose with blackberries, cassis and raspberries. Some mint, tobacco, roses, leather, liquorice and mocha oak.
Fullbodied palate with intense fruit, smooth tannins and refreshing acidity. Dark and red fruit, florals, leather, chocolaty oak and tobacco. Long slightly astringent finish.
The aromas and flavors are all there but somehow this seems a bit disjointed. So, perhaps I'll try this again tomorrow. Otherwise this is pretty nice though I think it's going downhill. Not too modern.
EDIT: Day 2, Focused and balanced. Fruit towards sour cherry and raspberry brightness, floral, slightly barnyardy with blackpepper notes, charred cedar and liquorice allsorts. Beautiful structure and fine balance with perfectly enough oomph! So, the wine kind of resurrected. Nice!

March 14, 2008 - Very dark red.The nose is discreet but alluring with nice aromas of raspberry and vanilla. On the palate smooth and silky.Nice red toned fruit and raspberry and a hint of mint. Not any tertiary aromas to mention, but such outstanding balance.Wanted more and more of this.
