July 13, 2021 - Dieser grüne Veltliner ist gleichbedeutend mit geiler Veltliner. Mund voll Aroma. Klasse!

May 12, 2017 - Weekend in London; 5/12/2017-5/13/2017 (Ledbury, Il Baretto, Hedonsim): By the glass at the Ledbury. Decent acidity. Lots of almost a wildflower honey in the background. Really enjoyed it. Was great with the scallop especially. The acidity also cut the fat in the egg. Very tasty.

October 5, 2014 - Crisp, dry, yet a little bitter on the finish.

September 15, 2014 - Gobelsburger is Austrian for good: terrific wine for the price. Straw color with goldent tints; ample bouquet redolent of petrol, somewhat luscious on the palate, some mineral quality and tropical fruits.

August 13, 2014 - Bright yellow green; subtle nose, green apple, tart yellow and green fruit, subtle spice, salty, white pepper; broader on the palate, more viscous texture, tart green fruit, struck match and tingle on the finish probably from some sulfur not visible on the nose; good.

(Schloss Gobelsburg Grüner Veltliner "Gobelsburger") ($16.00) Following the astonishing 2010 won’t be easy. But this is true to type, i.e., boxwood and nettle, polished and silky, irises all over the place; lovely, amazingly classy and even complex for its price. It’s no exaggeration to call this one of the world’s best wine values.
