August 16, 2022 - Great wine in a great place right now! Very accessible, elegant, all en finesse with a layer of subtle fruit remaining, strawberries essentially and some fainter notes of dark cherry. Then a very balanced base of forest floor, leather and some spices takes over, nicely supported by a very fine acidity. A very balanced and relatively soft wine, a marvelous food companion.

    October 13, 2018 - (Blind tasting)
Elegant, medium-fullish nose. Subtle notes of raspberry, fresh strawberry, violets and spice. Very elegant.
Medium body, lovely velvety tannins. Smooth impression. Pure, low-key, but very seamless. Raspberry, liquorice, minerals and violets. Gently oaky and spicy.
A very fine bottle. Not a blockbuster. Without greeness. We guessed on Chambolle premier cru, perhaps even Les Amoureuses. Not a heavy Clos de Vougeot - much more elegant.

November 24, 2017 - Ripe, cool, dark fruits.
Youthful structure, fine tannins, clean ripe dark fruits. Delicious and drinking quite well if a little tight still.

June 27, 2017 - Dinner at Villa Saunières (Saunières France): Red cherry and berry throughout. Slightly sweet spice aromas, a bit more savory flavors. Some faint green background hints, but still overall good balance. Best to enjoy now through 2025.

December 19, 2015 - Wow, the purity of fruit is just awesome. Still tight on the palate but the nose smells great.
