April 13, 2024 - Now, 3 years later, the elements have mellowed a tiny bit and the wine has becomeā€¦ sublime in its put together ness.

March 13, 2024 - My final bottle of this 2010, and it continues to drink much like my note from May 2022. Charming nose of cherry, raspberry, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The wine is perfectly integrated on the palate, with medium body, plush-mature fruit texture with perhaps a hint of oak gloss, fresh but harmonious acidity, and a subtle frame of tannic structure remaining. The flavors on the finish fan out nicely rather than concentrating on the mid palate, lending to the impression that this is more or less at peak. I do not think it's going to drop off anytime soon, but I do feel it's showing all its cards at this point. Very nice.

January 27, 2024 - This showed incredibly well. Still a healthy red color, with minimal lightening on the rim. Gorgeous ripe cherry fruit with hints of herbs poking through. Zippy acidity frames the fruit well. This had density, breadth and impressive length. There is probably upside improvement possible with further cellaring.

November 22, 2023 - Cherry, cinnamon, some earth- a super, mature pinot. Not much primary fruit left but so much going on. My first 2010 horseshoe pinot.

November 4, 2023 - Stemmy, with a spicy green character on the nose. Dark cherry profile on the palate, with a mildly astringent texture on the finish. Lengthy finish. Just didn't have the extra level of complexity compared to the other pinots.
