February 28, 2017 - 50th Birthday Winefoolishness (Chicago, IL): Late night pop n' pour bonus bottle. Nose shows very well on opening a ton of spice and black cherry. Youthful and fresh palate. More sexy Vosne spice on the palate.

February 28, 2017 - 50th Birthday Celebration Dinner with Wine (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Late night pop-and-pour. Red fruit with Asian five spice start-to-finish. Very good concentration. Still firm with a few sharp elbows, but that's 1995. Very tasty. The last time I had this wine was over 10 years ago, and I think it was from the same person/ case. I enjoyed it much more tonight.

July 14, 2010 - Dallas 2nd Wednesday Group - July 2010 (Urbano's in Dallas, TX): Tasted non blind at a wine dinner. Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass. slightly dusty looking. Nose of orange peel, smoke, a hint of pepper and a hint of leather. Flavors of tart berries and a hint of cherries. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Drink or hold.
