April 21, 2021 - Owned since release and stored properly. Double decanted shortly before service. Reddish brown in color. A bit of menthol on the nose. An outstanding example of an old school Cab Sauv. Great fruit, with good tannins and acidity. While fully mature, perfectly stored bottles will last another 5-7 years easily.

March 7, 2021 - Nose of wet, moist mulch, bark, green tobacco leaf. Palate is very distinct from the nose, fresher, low acidity, fully integrated tannins. Tasted next to a1980 which showed a little better.

December 17, 2018 - the wine needed some time to wake up, it was very muted in the beginning, but opened up to a leafy, tobbaco, graphite, earthy nose, quite an elegant palate, but lacking some density. Pleasant enough a drink and quite in line with the vintage being somewhat cooler.

November 15, 2017 - Cool old bottle of wine, clearly past its prime but still drinkable and enjoyable. A little musty at the start and it needed 45 minutes to knock the dust off. Still a little fruit left, mostly red fruits and well aged. I have one more bottle...it's time to dink up!

October 18, 2017 - A pointe but not a grand wine. Bell pepper and eucalyptus with nice dark fruits. Not complex but elegant.
