February 26, 2021 - Deep dark color, fruit forward, plummy, still had firm tannins. It had aged well and could have aged a bit longer, probably thanks to the Petite Syrah in the blend. Left me wishing I had tried it with steak and had served it at a cooler than room temperature.

May 19, 2013 - Super tight on the nose and initial taste. Dense and chewy. Unrelenting tannins. Nice finish but the reason why I didn't give this a higher score was that it was not as fruit driven as I love. Licorice and spice on the nose with a touch of blueberry pie on the taste that was hidden by earth, tobacco & gritty tannins. Okay from my standpoint.
