  June 2, 2021 - Rosy red color with fading at the edges. Faintly plummy nose. Fruit is still intense, deeply flavored, blackberry, dark cherries, pepper. Fine tannins, acidity is a tad harsh. Finishes a bit short with dark fruits. Probably better 3 to 5 years ago but still gives some pleasure. Has held up remarkably well. Drink up.

  December 4, 2009 - Dark ruby in color. Touch of smoke, blueberries on the nose, not over the top. Palate of well integrated blue and black fruits with some meatiness and smoke. Nice fine tannins with a soft medium finish, great OPR.

  September 4, 2003 - Dark, thick wine. Stewed fruit aromas. Opens up with blackberry and tea followed by leather and peppery spices. A tannin “bump” on the end could have been better integrated in the finish, nevertheless, the wine is quite enjoyable. Drink now or over the next couple of years.
