June 14, 2018 - UWS; A mixed set of wines (@ JB): Beautiful bouquet with dark fruits, herbs and spices, autumn forest, licorice and chocolate. On the palate juicy dark berries, fresh acidity, some green impressions, chocolate and sot tannin with still a pleasant bite for a few more years of cellaring. Beautiful wine.

October 19, 2013 - Belle expression du barbera "sérieux". À boire rafraîchi pour adoucir la finale. J'aime beaucoup, mais je suis vendu aux barbera.

May 26, 2013 - Italy Tasting: Medium ruby color. Nice aromatics of sour cherries, some sweet spices (cinnamon, cloves) and some animalic notes. Also the alcohol is pretty noticeable. Medium body with medium-low tannins and medium-high acidity. Overall a nice balance of structure and fruit, but there is a little bit of a lack in mid-palate and complexity. It opened up a little with air, but in my opinion, there are many better Barberas in the market for significantly less money.

May 26, 2013 - 15 popular Italian Grape Varieties Tasting (with pirates): During a "Top 15 Italian grape varieties" tasting, grape Barbera. Medium ruby. Nose of red cherry flowers and sweet spices, not very complex with a bit of an alcoholic note. Medium-light body with soft tannins. A solid table wine but not much more.
