  April 27, 2024 - I was looking for something old and woody from my cellar to go with polenta and braised short ribs. Well - this wine sure did not disappoint!! From my limited experience, this wine took me back to my childhood when I first smelled my older sister’s cedar ‘hope chest’. Huge cedar notes, very intense, but just what I was looking for. Very dry and almost a bit acidic, but a refreshing change from most of today’s wines that are too fruity and sweet. Great wine!!

  February 27, 2022 - Last bottle. TN as before, except that a bit of cherry should probably be mentioned. Unless you had this in a perfect cellar from the start, I would think you should probably drink this up now.

  February 21, 2020 - Exactly like last bottle. One bottle left for this or next year and I have to follow my own advice: drink only a small glass on day 1 (which can be disappointing) and leave the rest for day 2 onwards.

  June 14, 2019 - Outstanding wine. Black cherry up front with leather and earth nuances mid-palette followed by a blast of red cherry and fresh acidity at the end. It is all very balanced and in place with no rough spots. Too easy to drink. Certainly mature and ready to go , will hold into 2023 at least..
