April 23, 2015 - Good nose showing vanilla and dark fruit. Light to medium bodied, smooth and firm tannins, delivering pleasant cassis toned dark fruit with an earthy and vanillary aspect. With airtime it evolved delivering more earthy flavors. Very elegant and quaffable.

November 14, 2014 - Somewhat translucent dark ruby color with some mature maroon hue. Developed nose with aromas of overripe plums, sweet bruised apple notes, some sweet oak spice, a little raisined fruit, hints of leather and strawberry jam and a touch of something funky and naughty, perhaps a whiff of brett? The wine is full-bodied, juicy and supple on the palate with quite sweet flavors of juicy dark plums, raisins, some earthy spice, a little chocolate oak spcie and a hint of leather with a light oxidative touch. Balanced structure with moderate acidity and moderate, firm tannins. The finish is very long, complex and nicely developed with some mature flavors of juicy dark berries, roasted spices, some strawberry, a little pruney fruit and a hint of leather.

A nice and tasty Sardinian red that feels like an unholy blend of weighty Sardinian Cannonau and a developed Bordeaux red from a cooler vintage - which isn't that far-fetched seeing that apparently this wine is a blend of Cannonau (aka. Grenache) and Cabernet Sauvignon. Overall this is an enjoyable red wine that feels like a Bordeaux red with a Mediterranean twist and showing some attractive, aged nuances. Still very much alive, but probably is not going to develop much further. Worth its price at 24€.

September 8, 2013 - Wonderful deep nose of leather and blackberry. No alcohol evident (13%). Gentle on the palate with Med+ acid and granular tannins. Not big yet on the on the mid palate - may fill out but the acid is a little out of balance. Got fuller with time in glass.

    Cannonau and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Nose of dark fruits, vanilla and spice. Smooth palate medium length. Very nice.
