July 27, 2019 - Quite a showing for an almost 17 year-old QbA. Still rather light in color -- on appearance alone, I would guess a three or four year-old wine. Mineral and slight grass in the nose, but not terribly expressive. The wine is now dry, with any sugar left acting to provide richness, yet the wine still has firmness. The mouth, though, is a joy with peach and apple fruit with slight tropical hints. Lovely summer afternoon sipping wine. Cellared since original release. This was APN 11-03, so the first bottling at von Schubert (usually there are two, I believe).
