April 28, 2014 - Ruby color, with dark berries, butterscotch, coffee, cedar and black pepper smells. Medium/full body and medium finish with good acidity. Quite agreeable wine.

March 16, 2014 - Very nice aromatics of woodsy berries and some spicy element. Tastes like very juicy berries - boysenberries, and some strawberry with a nice earth and spice undertone. Very good, but at times seemed a little disjointed especially just after opening. Improves with lots of air time.

January 24, 2014 - Clear rim which develops into crimson colored body; medium legs, light sediment; flavors of berry, chocolate, tea and mint; medium legs, juicy texture, long finish, no acidity. Very appealing wine which left us wanting more when the bottle was finished.

June 30, 2013 - 90-91: this bottle is a perennial gem. Excellent concentration, depth, very well balanced with tannin and some oak. Spice is in control. Great bargain at $20.
