November 1, 2021 - Beautiful aged Champagne with incredible complexity on the finish. Plenty of bubbles and great notes of minerals with just the right touch of caramel. Wine of the lunch! At Joomak.

August 10, 2020 - A very different Comtes. Completely tertiary with mineral, butter scotch, and sherry flavors. Still with good acidity and minerality. None of the rich butterscotch flavors I associate with Comtes. Still very good.

Nuts, Cookies, some honey and vanilla. Not so much as usually. In my ooinion too "sweet" and for that reason not perfectly balanced. I love 1979 I love Comtes but this time not my favorite wine. 93 -

April 7, 2018 - Dark yellow almost orange in color. And lots of orange and cinnamon on the palate. Apples, caramel, bruised fruit. Advancing in the glass and very delicate. Apricots. Dessert notes. Good but drink up.
