November 1, 2002 - 11/02 GOOD INTENSITY, WARM CAB SAUV FRUIT, BUT STILL GREEN:
Rich dark color just beginning to brick at the rim. Red fruits and a little earth on the nose. Palate with very good intensity, good acidity, rich cassis, a little earth, a bit of chocolate, and a distinct green pepper note which spoils it for me. This could be a new world cab or even merlot from vines too young or grapes not quite ripe. The good news is that the other characteristics seem to be getting better from earlier bottles, but I doubt time will hide the peppers.
