September 9, 2014 - A Visit To Weingut Karl Erbes (Weingut Karl Erbes, Urzig, Germany): Aromas of pineapples and ice are backed by a herbal edge. The wine shows a spritzy feel on the palate. When tasted, lemon drop sweetness leads the way. Oranges and pie apples appear on the mid palate. Some acidity works well towards drying things out on the finish while lemon drop flavors persist. Overall, I find it fresh and engaging.
