  July 24, 2017 - Amazing wine for this price point. It's starting to thin out a little bit, and without air it's a bit bland, but it opened up nicely after an hour or so. Still retains its dark color (as you would hope from the name) despite the tannins losing their grip. I have one more bottle of this in the cellar and am not sure it's going to hold up for too much longer, but it wouldn't hurt to let sit and see what happens.

  January 3, 2014 - Not as good as the 2007, but still very good for the price. Lighter and less complex. Does not WOW.

  February 6, 2013 - I loved this wine. In the glass the wine is very dark (hence "Black Ink") but it coats the mouth with blackcurrant and berries. I should look to buy more because the wine should evolve into a truly magnificent wine in 5+ years.

  November 29, 2012 - I like this cab. I drank this bottle right after we consumed the 2007 Dunn Howell Mountain cab with steaks. We were still eating the steaks when I opened this bottle. So maybe my rating is skewed from drinking the Dunn cab? But I liked this wine, especially for the price of $30.
