June 30, 2023 - Le Désir is a Bordeaux Right Bank style blend with 54% Cabernet Franc, 36% Merlot,
5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec.

Distinguished nose of crunchy blackberry and high stone red berries. Dried violet, green bell pepper, minty and tobacco characters from the Cabernet Franc. Grapgite, coffee bean, wild herbs and toasty sweet oak in the background too.

Full body with piercing precision and good acid cut. Giving loads of exuberant juicy ripe fruits, loads of tarry minerality and spices. Multilayered and long. 14%

March 24, 2023 - Spectacular! Just when the fruit and the tertiary notes come together. Probably the best "Bordeaux" wine Cali has to offer.

February 4, 2022 - My main selection for yesterday’s CWG. Opened 6 hours prior the tasting and left inside the cellar. Double decanted for just 5 minutes 2 hours before consumption.

The wine is medium plus body, a nose that can go from new world to French, but in the palate is a clear French wine, left bank to be precise… but wait! It’s a Sonoma wine. So this was a blind tasting that everyone got wrong of course. The wine is vibrant, well balanced, dark chocolate and berries with lots of minerality and a touch of grass at the end. Beautiful finish. Great with Italian food.

September 26, 2021 - 3 hour decant and this was still tight, tart, and acidic. Began to open up after 4-5 hours.

February 7, 2021 - Opened for one hour, then double decanted for about one hour and back to the bottle to be consumed during Super Bowl LV. It stayed solid the whole night, very French, medium body, high acidity, plenty of tannins and nice balance.

Drink or hold. Long life ahead.
