December 2, 2009 - Mr. Mike's Odd Tasting: Super Scoring Aussie Wines (John's Marketplace, Portland, OR): Very interesting Aussie Sémillon...aged just enough too. A hazelnut/pinenut component that really gets my attention. This tastes more like a Chardonnay...white Burgundy actually, especially after it started warming up in my glass. Fun wine!

June 15, 2008 - Popped and poured, nice pale yellow in color. Hints of toast and lemon peel on the nose. Sour lemon peel midpalate with a toasty, almost nutty finish that carries a hint of honey. Strong acid backbone (maybe too strong) that does a decent job of diluting the ~14% abv heat on a clean but quick finish.
Overall a $10 wine that drinks like a $10 dollar wine. A Bordeaux varietal done in the intense, new world style but in my opinion the NZ Sauvignon Blancs offer more QPR at the same price. (CMS B-). -

February 19, 2008 - French Bakery BYO SHIRAZ from OZ (French Bakery, Kane concourse, Bay Harbor Islands, Florida): Jerry's wine. Enjoyable precis to dinner, but I much preferred the 05 Betts&Scholl reisling.

April 10, 2007 - Flat and dissapointing but with some varietal character. Drank a glass at Vidalia in Washington, D.C. perhaps it had been open too long. Good but not better.

January 11, 2007 - January Wine Club Meeting (The Grapevine, Salem, MA): Tasted at Wine Club 1/11/07. Peach on the nose with a weighty mouthfeel. Honeyed citrus, peach, with a hint of nuttiness on the palate. Overall quite pleasing.
