June 7, 2010 - This was absolutely outstanding. I'm wondering if my higher-than-average rating has to do with cellaring for so long? This had all the classic characteristics of a zin, but drank like a $100+ napa cab or bordeaux. Completely amazed.

April 3, 2009 - Encapsulates everything I love about Zin. Modest but sexy. Breezy yet blowsy. Massive black raspberry on the nose, jammy, but not offensive. Rich and medium-bodied, but not OTT. Tannins, fruit and acid in perfect balance. Picks up tobacco in the glass, and weight, and acid, and retains that bright raspberry core throughout. Impeccable. The reason I drink Zin? Wines like this.
