  October 16, 2014 - Clynelish-ness is evident, and I like that. Soft vanilla, touch of sea salt, beeswax, and sweet sherry fruit components make up this gentle and very drinkable whisky. However, the delicious factor is less than that of Johnnie Walker Green, and that has nothing to do with specs of being blended vs pure malt - I don’t care about that. Peat component is very subtle, quite difficult to pick up on first few days, but it eventually becomes detectable. Let this breathe a bit for the heat to blow off. Overall, this is good and worth $75~$80.

  February 24, 2014 - Right behind the Green in overall quality, this is more of an old-school fire-side/after dinner sort of scotch, rich and slightly sweet in flavor, complex and really caresses the palate. Too bad they discontinued this one, too.

  November 14, 2009 - Distinctly sweet and malty on the nose with white spices, ripe stone fruit, and soft peat. Full and soft on the palate delivering a rich sweetness of nectar with caramel, honey, and a slight herbaceousness. The finish lasts. A great after dinner sipper.
