March 30, 2021 - on initial pour without air the nose seems a touch advanced. purchased vis winebid so always unsure about storage. There is nice balance on palate. some deeper and riper red fruit with good acidity and fine tannins. good tension. will wait to see what some air does... with air, a bit more balanced but there is an advanced note that makes me wonder...

November 25, 2015 - Right in the drinking window now. Initially some herb on the nose that was almost unpleasant but this blew off quickly. 2nd glass was better (as usual) with lush red fruit on the mid-palate and some nice leather on the finish. Lovely wine. Brian does such a great job with his estate pinot.

May 23, 2015 - Handles its 14.9% alcohol nicely (I don't think I've ever seen anything above 14% from Belle Ponte before). At or near it's peak, it shows a smoky dark fruit profile with a lengthy finish. Delicious now, but probably quite close to it's peak. Drink up.

March 8, 2015 - Surprisingly handles the high alcohol. Complete but lacking a certain beauty. 14.9%

January 31, 2015 - Spiced cherries with a touch of cinnamon. Well-balanced despite the 09 heat.
