February 8, 2019 - Held up well for a hot vintage. Fruit is very secondary and earthy, yet there are definite spicy red fruits on the palate. Nice length and on the whole it is nicely balanced.

September 26, 2009 - Initial impressions on opening were not great. Very closed nose and a spirity warm burn to the palate. However left it for 2 hours in the decanter and it did open up well. Spicy, peppery baked cherry notes, some earth and slightly porty. The palate is tad too spirity (15%) and its not quite in balance just yet. Flavours are cherry liqueur and with time some liquorice too. Will probably be better in 2 or 3 years time I guess.
