December 3, 2022 - Gulorange, komplex o smakrik, hög syra, god

February 17, 2021 - Decanted 4h. Light orange color. On the nose very ripe fruit with clearly substantial bortrytis notes and immense extract... high complexity and very different from wines higher upstream; the shist and quarzite soils result in rounder acidity than e.g. Vouvray. Delicious stuff!

November 30, 2020 - Exactly what I was hoping for, standing out amongst a strong line-up of Chenin Blancs in a way only wines from Nicholas Joly can. Golden-hued, with rich, ripe, palate-coating flavors of orchard fruit, dried exotic citrus fruits, Indian spices, and candied ginger. Complex and deeply concentrated, it has at least another decade or two ahead of it, thanks to a backbone of dark minerality with the acidity to match.

August 6, 2020 - Very interesting wine. Some sherry and cider notes, also smokey aromas reminding of cognac, in the end a bit too alcoholic, on the palate good balance. Don't think of it as a conventional wine, but who would actually? The complexity is just crazy, with its fruity (apple and quince) and smokey, flinty, yeasty aromas. For me it lacks a bit of finesse, the alcohol is just too prominent, but might be the bottle (cork almost 3/4 soaked) ... what an experience

March 17, 2020 - I was worried about this, especially when I saw the tawny golden color. However, it was sound, with no oxidative notes whatsoever. Orange, honey, peach, maybe a little lanolin to give the grape away. Nice cut. This was the perfect match for corned beef, which I thought was going to be impossible to pair with anything but Guinness.
