Community Tasting Notes 4

January 29, 2014 - Notes of blood, earth, forest floor, leather, funk, and tobacco. Much better after it has been opened for some time. Not a ton of fruit, and some chemically taste on the back end of the palate. Not a stellar wine for sure, but good enough if it is exposed to a significant amount of air. Probably could have used to be double-decanted to allow the funk and chemical tastes to blow off.

February 27, 2013 - The '1' bottle, same basic score as the '2', though I think I enjoyed it more. For $10, are you kidding? Nice, easy to drink, basic Bordeaux characteristics. Sure, not horribly complex, or 'wow', but $10?

January 27, 2013 - This is the '2' bottle, not bad at all...but, a bit young and slightly hollow/thin on the mid palate. Tastes a little toasty, with dark fruit.

November 2, 2012 - Good basic wine. Seems a bit over ripe
