March 2, 2024 - My last bottle of this wine, and the first since 2018, it was decanted 30 minutes before dinner but did not open up until the hour mark. It is and extremely elegant, silky, balanced wine, still with very good structure, but with much more heft than when young. Lots of red fruits, sweet citrus, mint and tobacco, and a nice bittersweet finish. Drink to 2030 if stored properly.

March 4, 2022 - PNP, drank over the evening. Rust colored, bricking at the rim belies the lively fruit. Quite aromatic, reminiscent of Barolo, cherry and floral notes. Some tertiary leather. There is some oak and spice on the nose and palate, but not distracting, more adding complexity and layers. Chewy tannins and mouth watering acidity balance the red fruit. Very nice now, should continue to develop over the next 5 years and hold even longer.

December 4, 2020 - Tight and closed, earthy spice box, tart fruit and a long finish. It was not ready to drink and no amount of decanting was enough. I'd wait another 5 years if not 10 before drinking.

August 5, 2020 - 14% abv. Earthy, cinnamony nose. Bright, red tart fruit on the palate. Hint of tannins, but overall has real finesse. In a great spot atm.
