  November 29, 2023 - The richness and elegance of this cab is balanced by its mild but balancing acidity, medium palate weight, and lack of residual sugar. This is what modern Napa should aspire to. There is nothing "lean" about it, and nothing overblown. It is still fairly primary, with no significant greenness.
  
  The lack of cloying sugar and high alcohol is reminiscent of the comparison between Guinness draft and export stouts. Guinness is rich but also weightless - you can drink a lot of it. The depth of flavor is always there but it doesn't feel heavy. Export stouts are higher in alcohol and rely on increased density and unfermented sugars to create balance and, consequently, are heavy and cloying.
  
  TRB always makes great wine from this site, but this is the oldest example I've had. There's always some concern that a wine that tastes great in its youth will not age well (I'm looking at you, 97 Harlan). This is testament to TRB's wines aging spectacularly.

  May 26, 2023 - Served over 8 days with Vinloq Nitrogen Preservation
  
  DAY 1
  👃After hours in the glass, this is rich with spicy dark fruit, chalk/graphite/smoke, cedar, vanilla, and anise. Classic Cali Cabernet: Rich & sexy
  👅Beautiful, luscious sweet fruit with just the right balance of oak and soft tannic notes. A bit of spice & herbals with clove and vanilla. Silky texture. Plenty of acidity keeping this fresh
  
  Refrigerated and "Slow Decanted" the remaining wine for 8 days with nitrogen protection
  
  DAY 8
  👃Perfumed with dusty spice and fruit. Oak notes in the background. Rich and classic
  👅The dark fruit (black currants and blackberries) leads and the spicy notes follow. Oak accents are there on the balanced, long, and delicious finish. Drinking very well. Similar to Day 1 though it seems slightly sweeter today
  
  This 2010 R-M Panek is definitely in the zone. It has richness and the fruit is sweet but not ponderous or cloying.
  Polished. No heat. Drinking beautifully. Drank this in the mid to upper 60'sF (18C) temperature

  February 3, 2023 - PnP. Black and blue fruits, plum, cherry, anise, espresso and mocha aromas. Ripe, rich and complex. Layers of flavor showing blackberry, cherry, plum, anise, mocha, vanilla, spice flavors. Long smooth finish with silky tannins. Sadly my last bottle.
