July 19, 2020 - Not sure how to rate this because I've never had anything like it. Experience and tasting notes are very similar to isaacjamesbaker 7/21/2019 notes. Four of us sampled it and was a 50/50 split. I stuck with it and found it more interesting and enjoyable as it changed over the course of the evening.

October 27, 2019 - (Mostly) Chenin Night: This bottle was a bit more subdued than others, but still lots going on. Better on Day 2. Fun to taste with the group, discuss the dynamics, while all being clearly able to critique the weirdness and absurdity of the wine. Yet, at the end of the day, I actually do just straight-up enjoy this wine. It gives me much pleasure. To each their own.

August 24, 2019 - Similar notes to the bottle I had in July. Loving the complex brine, olive oil, waxy, savory herb combination. I had this with a mix of cheeses, charcuterie and steamed clams. The family really enjoyed it, although some thought it was odd, it was a great conversation-starter.

July 21, 2019 - I know this wine is polarizing, but I thought it was phenomenal, and 5/6 people loved it. Rich golden/ruby red grapefruit kind of color - so crazy. The nose shows those deep sherried notes, almond cake and honey/waxy elements, but also sea salt, oregano and savory herb broth, candied lemon and orange peel. Deep texture and richness but bright acidity, I didn't get any excessive bitterness here, and I thought the whole wine was framed well. Complex notes of Madeira, sea salt, candied ginger, spiced tea. Not just nerdy or weird for the sake of it, I find this straight-up delicious and enjoyable. Can't wait to see if the other bottles hold up this well.
