December 20, 2022 - One and only bottle, purchased 20 years ago with other Cal Cabs from 1980's. Touch of smoked wood, mature fruit and other balanced components. Long finish. This bottle was terrific, not at all tired and has a long life ahead.

November 21, 2015 - Stunning nose and depth! Decanted from Coravin for 2 hours. The flavor erupted as soon as I poured it into the decanter and 2 hours later it has become even more intense. Brooding dark chocolate mature can flavors with a finish that goes on and on. Feels light on its feet but with incredible density of flavors and complexity. I would rate this a perfect 100 point wine!

October 17, 2015 - Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Small (non-blind) tasted, brief note. Mature fruit, earth, mushroom, dried herb and some mint. Nice right now, but probably better a few years back.

April 19, 2015 - Stored at 55 degrees (humidity controlled) for 20+ years.
Upon decanting, classic cabernet cassis nose, but muted.
An hour after decanting, was an enjoyable, relatively complex, mature cab, but lacked the fruit to merit a higher rating.
As with most 25+ year cabs, Probably should have been drunk a few years ago. -

December 7, 2013 - Zachy's auction w/ some CTers (Marea - 240 Central Park South): All smoke and woodlands on the nose. I could smell this wine all day. It's peppers and unripe blackberries and just that hint of the spice cabinet (I always think cinnamon). Not as long of a finish as I'd like, but really fantastic nonetheless. Ready to be drunk - I think this is on its last legs.
