Review:
2004 Two Hands Aphrodite - I was surprised when this wine was revealed. It is still tasting quite young! I actually thought this was the Raymond. The nose was perfumed, but definitely showed dark fruit, including plum and dark cherries, with oak and vanilla. The palate followed suit, but also had a eucalyptus and pepper note that popped up periodically throughout the tasting. Initially, I thought Syrah or Shiraz, but none of the wines had any Syrah in them. Then I thought maybe the Saros, as some Spanish wines feature oak and the Saros is a also a blend. I went off the Saros, as the finish seemed to point to Cabernet, so my final guess was the Raymond. This wine had the longest finish of all the wines tasted, and it went on for a long time, starting with sweet fruit, then turning a little more tart, and finishing with some sweet vanilla oak. Very tasty, and no hurry to drink, but it is drinking remarkably well now....still a pretty big, fruit forward wine (which I like), but with tertiary flavors, which came in waves (which I also like). 93+ to 94, no problem! -

February 3, 2018 - Still a gem, this wine has a similarity to other cab's I have tasted from Oz, a pleasant pepper thing going on. Excellent wine. Should have bought more.

July 5, 2016 - Big wine with lots of fruit intensity. Not really what I would look for in a Cabernet. Still it had some redeeming features, including tannins that were present enough to balance the fruit to a degree. Won't buy this again, but nice enough.
