January 8, 2017 - Inky purple color. Dark berries. Very soft tannins. Intense and smooth. Definitely can cellar for a few more years. Paired well with spicy food without losing any flavor.

February 5, 2015 - The wine is clear and bright with a deep ruby colour.

The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of black fruit (dark cherries, dark plums), pungent spices (liquorice) and oak (vanilla, chocolate, clove).

The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium(+) fine-grained tannins and a high warm alcohol. It has a full body and pronounced intensity flavours of black fruit (dark cherries, dark plums), pungent spices (liquorice) and oak (vanilla, chocolate, clove). The finish is long.

It is a very good quality wine. It has a lingering finish and very concentrated flavours that balance the warming alcohol. However, although it shows some degree of complexity provided by oak ageing, a better example of this style would show more complexity.

Can drink now, but it has enough fruit concentration and tannic structure to develop more complex tertiary aromas overt he next 3-5 years.

October 6, 2014 - We loved this wine. Surprised by how smooth. Had with spicy sausages and peppers and it stood up!
