  March 2, 2001 - Friday, March 02, 2001 Dark purple with funky nose of berries (strawberry and blueberry). Good mouthfeel with adequate weight and heft. Loads of forward fruit, blueberries galore. No midpalate to speak of. A lingering finish of oak, but also a vegetal, almost green bean flavor. With filet mignons, garlic mashed potatoes and blue cheese slices. 3/2/01.
  Thursday, November 08, 2001 Initial impressions: Purple-red with a full nose of bramble, but also an unfortunate medicinal smell. Cherry with a tart short finish. Out of balance with a strong alcohol finish. No sign of bricking but the fruit is fading. This won’t last more than a year or so. Later:
