February 24, 2023 - Initially rather disappointing. Dark ruby centre, rim fading. Not much nose, but on second day smooth with hints of coffee and spice. Starting to thin, but not bitter. Slightly dry in the mouth, but enjoyable notes of cherry, brown sugar and warmth on the finish. Lingers really well. A more reserved style. Would buy again, but drink younger.

    January 19, 2019 - 18-01-2019

February 2, 2016 - Very smooth with significant tannic precipitation when pouring through a strainer. Only downside, the alcohol was a little warm on the back of the throat for my taste. All in all, very smooth!

September 13, 2015 - Coravin fun - Dom. de Chevalier plus lunch (My place, parramatta, sydney): Cork was dry but had obviously bled to the tip. The port was also under a wax seal, but this capsule appeared to have had more than a few knocks so a certain amount of trepidation was exhibited by all on approach. Aromas of figs, walnuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, leather, raisins and a bit of ethanol. More of the same on the palate with some coffee notes. A bit flat but as I'd tried (and drank) a reasonable amount of wine by this stage perhaps, truth be told, it was me that was the flat one. Anyway, it certainly wasn't out of condition which was a bonus.

December 27, 2014 - big, rich and smooth. Drinking very well and still relatively youthful fruit. Very good.
