July 26, 2020 - Bit tired? Still dark fruits, cherry and cranberry. Plenty acidity. Earthy. Not really very long. Cinnamon and mace. Think this would have been more enjoyable earlier.

December 25, 2019 - Can't make my mind up about this. Beautifully aged or past it. Dark ruby, fading. Plenty of bitter cherry and cranberry. Smoky. something somewhat medicinal. Plenty acidity, almost too much. Definitely tertiary and complex but do I like it. Had a much younger vintage recently and really loved that. Jury is out.

January 7, 2017 - had the 2012 while there, brought back the 2010. This is really lovely. a nose of rose petals, pine cones, fresh bread. On palette, perfect balance of fruit, alcohol and so well integrated; cherry puree and lavender notes, gorgeous finish.

May 14, 2016 - medium ruby. fresh red fruits, liquorice and sweet herbals, racy acidity, silky tannins with mellowed oak and spicy notes. super smooth and balanced. long and savoury. a wonderful Central Otago in blossom!

May 5, 2015 - Crimon color. Spicy nose with rich underlying fruit and a serious, pronounced minerality. This was echoed on the palate, which was supported by fine acidity and deftly walked the line bewteen elegance and opulence. Similar to one of the more flamboyant Vosne-Romanée crus, this wine is an excellent example of the heights to which conscientiously-made New World PN can ascend.
