December 13, 2022 - Really drinking well, blind I guessed Napa Cab. Dark fruit, not showing age but nicely integrated and silky smooth, long expansive finish. Irresistibly tasty.

    December 3, 2019 - Sophie's bday! Still drinking well.

June 11, 2018 - Agree with Loren’s notes (see below). I loved this wine and felt it was at peak. Only slight change I might make is suggesting consumption in the next three years but this was a really well produced bottle and I felt showed up the 2001 just a bit. Was even better after some air. Went quickly at the wine event where the 01 and 02 were shared side by side.

September 12, 2017 - Just a killer showing. Has to be at peak but should stay for a bit. At age 15 this pleased everyone. Purple in color, a bit of ruby at the rim. The nose is gorgeous with black raspberries, roasted meats, some black pepper and even a bit of violets. On the palate, this is fresh and vibrant. Black raspberries layered with spice and pepper. Great mouthfeel. Slight tannins. Complex. Perfect with Indian food. Long finish. This was my last bottle of this vintage and while I have no complaints, I would love to taste this wine again in 5 years.

May 15, 2017 - Unbalanced sweetness and oak over two hours. Not my style at this point in its life.
