July 30, 2014 - - Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of tobacco and blackberry. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of blackberry and prune with a medium body. Flabby texture with a medium finish.

July 27, 2014 - Nose of tar & diesel fuel. Fresh cut violets, gamey with loads of black fruit. Really entering a distinct drink stage!

April 19, 2014 - Decanted for 4 hours. Lots of heat on the palate as well as the finish. Massive tannins that cover up the fruit. Old world style. Needs several years to flesh out.

April 12, 2014 - Heavy barnyard aroma on pop ("like sticking your head up a horse's ***" is what she said, and was right as usual), lasts a few minutes, then it's all black fruit on the nose. Black fruit and herbs in the mouth, moving towards earthiness with a good deal of tannic chew. This is much nicer than I was expecting considering the age... I am a sucker for Cornas though. Even the horse's *** part.
