October 29, 2015 - [PWS' CVNE W Dinner at Bellota, Melbourne] Translucent deep garnet, orange flange. Mature black fruits bouquet with hints of earth, red berry fruits, kirsch, cola, meat, mushroom, fig, prune & sordid wood. Medium plus, moderately deep & intense, quite concentrated, meaty & chunky though not without charm; traces of melting tannins with very good acidity in the background; harmonious & graceful showing its age but holding well. Long stylish finish.

March 2, 2013 - Saturday Afternoon at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): From magnum. Nice earthy aromas with some nuttiness, rich red fruits and dried florals. Palate was firm, but expressive. Great balance, and still showing a lot of life.
