September 27, 2023 - Very good held its taste throughout along pudding . Coping with a treacle pudding !!

August 19, 2023 - Drank over a month, in and out of the refrigerator.
Lovely medium-orange color. Balanced, non-cloying, but honeyed and long on the finish. Supporting acidity gives it freshness.

July 1, 2023 - Bordeaux Wimps June 2023 - 1945 (La Trompette): As we reach the end of proceedings emotional reactions start to move to the fore, and intellectual analysis recedes. Deep golden colour - lovely nose, my handwritten notes say "on the nose - fruits, so many fruits", this was exuberant but not over the top. Worked well with the crème brûlée.

June 5, 2023 - As previous. Plenty of life left

April 25, 2023 - En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Four (Bordeaux): From Magnum. Controlled apricot jam backed by Seville orange marmalade. Medium plus acidity but less obviously Botrytised on the palate - a certain glycerol note but feels more late harvest. Nice.

(COUTET) Coutet SPECIAL Dear Friends, Once in a while you need a good bottle of Sauternes or Barsac for a dessert opportunity or for that moment when the foie gras arrives and you want to do the goose justice. Here’s your wine at a very special price for a 750ml. While not the most complex beverage (it’s not 2001 Yquem), that’s not the point. It fills a much needed void - a well-priced bottle of Sauternes/Barsac that you won’t feel guilty about opening. It’s sort of a crack and pour affordable dessert wine that delivers a lot of punch for a small price. A perfect size for a dinner party and most that try it will be bowled over by its texture and honey-bucket personality. This is the type of high-end Barsac they serve in France at some of the best restaurants as it can be enjoyed now or put aside for a decade or more - a steal on a deal and a wine that many of you will be very happy to have in your cellar: ” ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price with perfect provenance directly from Bordeaux 2003 Chateau Coutet (Barsac) 750ml (WA92 or 93?) (this is a full 750ml, not a split - compare at more) FIRST COME FIRST SERVED up to 12/person until we run out Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Bord8540
