Community Tasting Notes 1

October 4, 2013 - Poured directly from bottle as there was very little sediment. A bit too funky on the nose to my taste upon opening, but this quickly blew off. Pale red colour with browning edges - very clear and nice looking with the age in mind. Forest floor on the nose. Tasting it revealed a nicely balanced wine with a touch of red berries still left, a wonderful element of decay and very smooth tannins. The acidity seemed to become a bit more prominent with time. It stayed together for about an hour before falling apart. A very pleasant surprise.
