February 20, 2017 - Did I like it? Yes. Was it a tasty red wine? Yes. However it didn't taste like any Pinot I have ever had from Santa Maria Valley. We opened, decanted and drank over 4 hours. Had with Pesto crusted Salmon and it didn't quite pair as well as most Cali Pinot's. I found it different, interesting, and again, tasty, but also, again, different from any other Central Coast Pinot's. Interesting pine and menthol on the nose, which I liked.

December 29, 2014 - Very tasty with bramblely notes on the finish.

June 12, 2014 - An excellent Pinot Noir. Plenty of fruit; but some earthiness. We serve this with salmon when we want to honor our guests with a good Pinot Noir.

January 19, 2013 - Burgundian nose. Tad stemy with notes of cranberry, pomegranate and dark plum. Also, aromas of acai, blueberry, lavender, rhubarb and red berries. Flavors of red berry, lavender, plum, blueberry and cedar all with toasty oak. Chestnut. Light sage and rhubarb.
On a sidenote, there was wine left with the Stelvin screwed back on and four days later it had progressed and was outstanding! Air/time will be this wine's friend. Sit on it or decant!

January 18, 2013 - This was a pop and pour, tasted, then stuck back into the cellar and forgotten about for a week. It was then tasted again on two consecutive nights and, remarkably, had improved significantly.
At first open, it shows good fruit and some funky pinot/earthy notes. Crunchy berries and a hint of sweet strawberry notes. After a week, the earthy side is still there, as is the fruit, but it has become more elegant and refined, quite a silky wine, showing good balance. I was quite surprised not only that it lasted the week, but had improved.
