Community Tasting Notes 3

August 14, 2018 - Deep, dark and brooding, with raisin fruits, burnt toffee and molasses on the nose. It has an incredible thickness, like 40W70 motor oil. Flavours envelop the whole mouth and it stays with you for an eternity.

March 9, 2013 - Color of molasses, thick juice but sl thinner than a pure Balsamic; complex nose of rosemary, coffee, dark chocolate, tangerine rind; incredible texture somewhere between wine and oil, smooth, palate coating like a very concentrated dark chocolate, but balanced, not cloying. flavors like a kaleidoscope changing from herbal to coffee/chocolate, citrus, with cedar wood in the middle but not the predominant note at all. Brown sugar, caramel flavors, sea salt, too. Finish greater than 2 minutes . Completely unique experience, in balance and not too tired at all at 100 yrs.

October 29, 2012 - Pours out dark and sticky looking like 40W70 sump oil with its dark colour and green hues. The nose is super complex with notes of coffee, chocolate, teak, Christmas cake spice and salted caramel. It is so thick and sticky that it almost glues ones lips together. There’s an explosion of sweet and savoury in the mouth and it is powerful with a bitter chocolate finish and incredible intensity and length of flavour.
