  February 18, 2024 - Nose of red fruits, candied apricot and smoke. Delicate effervescence.
  
  Complex and layered palate with great freshness which allows the wine to reveal all its facets with great serenity. First there is crushed raspberry, then candied fruit. Then come roasted aromas and even more curious, truffle with earthy aromas which will gain momentum with aeration. A kaleidoscopic wine that continues to evolve throughout the tasting. Dense juice, served by a magnificent balance. The wine does not look its age, it is very refined and its evolution is positive. Great finish on smoke, with magnificent length.

  November 18, 2021 - Small gathering - 08 and 88 Cristal Roses and 00 Bordeauxs (Capital Grille Tysons, DC): Fully mature nose displaying subtle yellow and red fruit, apricot preserve, raspberry soda, caramel, copper, smoke, cep, truffle, brioche, sweet spices and limestone. Fully integrated palate, finely layered subtle sweet red and yellow fruit, sweet and decadent but also nicely detailed, good freshness and precision, very fine medium generous mousse, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long subtle red and yellow fruit driven finish with truffle and caramel at the end. It is almost like the 88 Cristal brut. Really complex and very enjoyable.

  November 3, 2020 - 1.5P. Elegant, toasty nose starting to show its age. In the mouth aged , beautiful fruit with strawberry notes, musty toast with smooth pretty finish. Wonderful grande dame. What a treat.

  biggest "disappointment", I had this wine twice and always delivered nearly perfection. Today a bit tired, not faulty, the fruit aspect was missing, all the tertiary Aromas were present which you "like" with an older Cristal Rose. Fine bubbles but the razorsharp acidity to give the wine his freshness was lost. 93
