March 21, 2014 - EYE: dark ruby w/inky purple notes, M+ concentration, M+ visc, M staining of tears
NOSE: M intensity, blackberry & bing cherries w/stewed & dried notes plus faint background pepper and iodine notes
PALATE: round, full red/black fruit flavors on attack w/a touch of salinity (paralleling the iodine?) and pepper fades into a hot, alcoholic finish, M+ alc, M+ tannin, M finish, M complexity
OVERALL: a powerful, round cab for the price - a bit hot and tannic for my palate, but would appeal to the "power cab" crowd

March 10, 2014 - Some respectable round cassis cab notes, but way too big and there's a huge vein of alcohol running through it from start to finish. I feel like one glass would give me a raging headache.

January 16, 2014 - BTG restaurant purchase enjoyed with a grilled steak. Dark and full bodied with bright cherry, red berry, and slightly earthy flavors. Pleasant but nothing unique or memorable; solid. Paired well with the dinner.

November 18, 2013 - - Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of black currant, blackberry, chocolate and strawberry jam. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant, black pepper and smokey with a medium/full body. Linear texture with a long finish.

November 15, 2013 - Have had many vintages of this wine and believe this is one of the best quality wines for the money out there year after year. This Cab is full bodied, fruit forward, dense with dark berry fruit. Nice structure that requires an hour of decanting to have its tannins calm down. Overall, an excellent wine.
