February 2, 2019 - Not a single vineyard Pinot, an appellation wine. I had forgot I had these in the cellar. I tried one when I first bought them and was duly unimpressed, so my expectations were low. My expectations were vastly exceeded. This has blossomed into quite a pretty wine. A lovely deep rose red in color with a pretty light strawberry nose. The fruit echoes the nose, delightful light strawberry fruit with a hint of tartness. Soft but evident tannins to give it structure. Bright acidity. Nothing complex here, but a delight to drink. Balanced and lovely. In case you're wondering, this is not labeled as either Copain's Tous Ensemble or Les Voisons lines. I'd drink this wine over the next three to four years. 13.2% ABV.

March 18, 2016 - Adequate, but not complex. Pleasant experience, if a bit linear. Some in my party found it to be too sweet against some Oregon stuff opened. A fair point, in that this does trend toward a sweet cherry on the palate. Drink now - no structure to suggest this has legs for the longer term.

October 10, 2015 - Drinking nicely here. Balanced fruit with a little earth and minerality. This is a lean wine and pleasant with or without food. Drink up. Age won't help.

July 27, 2015 - Similar tasting experience to the one I wrote up here back in July 2013. I know we served this a bit too warm, which for me is not the way I think we should treat pinot noir. But, some prefer wines at room temp, even PN, which in this instance I know was the case for where the wine was hosted. The net result of that is the wine comes off a bit clunky, roasted and over-done, meaning any delicacy of nuance from the AV PN fruit is lost at this kind of serving temp. I do though think that drink temp aside, this is just bigger Copain and I'm not going to get fired up for this bottle due to how it shows, in general.
